SPECIAL OCCASION PERMIT and SPECIAL EVENT INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

SPECIAL EVENT INSURANCE

Obtaining Special Event Insurance is your responsibility and required by l’Auberge Richelieu for your event, and we suggest you purchase said coverage through your own insurance provider.

Should you have difficulty finding an Insurance Broker for this coverage, you may contact Youngs Insurance Brokers Welland at (905) 735-7212.
The “Renter” shall, without limiting its obligations or liabilities herein and at its own expense, maintain general liability insurance with the limit of not less than Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00), inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage including loss of use thereof. Such insurance shall extend to cover the “Renters” employees, event, participants, and volunteers. If alcohol will be served, liquor liability should be included as part of the coverage.

SPECIAL OCCASION PERMIT

The client can choose to apply, for a SPECIAL OCCASION PERMIT through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The renter will be held responsible to follow their liquor license rules, at all times during the rental period, and for any liability or damages that occur during the event due to consuming alcohol during the rental period.
