Historique

The Richelieu International was founded in 1944 and the Club Richelieu Welland was born in 1957.

As there were several English service Clubs, these eleven people saw the need to create a francophone service Club to curb the exodus of francophones to English-speaking clubs. These eleven founders believed there was a great need to serve the francophone population of Welland.

We pay tribute to our eleven founding members, they are:
